Well, the new fic is up. Now the nerve-wracking part...waiting for the feedback.
I need to answer some PMs and respond to five pages of reviews but I thought I'd stall by rambling on here for awhile. It is amazing how chapter 34 can be one of the least reviewed chapters in a long time (which I was expecting) and still, somehow, I'm behind on replies.
I should also probably go for a run and make a grocery list (I am out of coffee!) and finish up the laundry and about one thousand other things but stalling seems like a better way to go.
Today, I switched from Pandora to last.fm for my I'm-sick-of-everything-on-my-iPod work music. Y'all, I'm in love. Unlimited skips? Firefox integration? A much larger library? Yes, please. I seriously got nothing done today. But I found a lot of new music. I also like that when you favorite a song and then mouse over the little heart on the Firefox player, it says "Thank you for loving this track." Makes me smile every time.
I got through some more Oscar nominees this weekend. I watched Doubt, Rachel Getting Married, and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button. I'm immensely surprised to be able to say that I liked all three. I was convinced that Doubt was going to be horribly boring but I was riveted. Meryl Streep is a damn genius. Rachel Getting Married was very raw and Anne Hathaway's performance was unbelievably brave. All things equal, she should win the Oscar. I don't think she will, but that truly was the performance of the year. Benjamin Button was interesting and long and I ultimately really enjoyed it. But it was long. And yet it somehow still felt rushed in parts.
So does anyone else watch American Idol? Did anyone notice that I worked my posting schedule around episodes? I'm not sure what to think about this season. I don't really like anyone yet that much. And if Tatiana or Norman make it a step further, I'm done with the show. I mean, I realize that it's barely a singing competition anymore but...does it need to be a joke?
This weekend, I'm having some friends in town for various activities. I think there is a concert of some kind on Saturday, then we are going to try to hit up Gospel Brunch at House of Blues on Sunday and then, of course, Oscar party (seriously...I have to win our game this year) on Sunday night. Should be fun but I am contemplating taking off Monday since something tells me I'll be worn out. Of course, it's not like I'm a construction worker. I do just sit in a cube all day with my Wacom tablet and keyboard. I can do that with a wine headache.
All right, I've stalled enough. Review reply time.

Sooo wow, it looks like you have a busy life. I'm on holidays right now, so I'm really enjoying being able to wake up at noon and go to bed at like... 3am.
(1:15 am right now here)
(love your icon btw)

You are so lucky to be on holiday. That's the one thing I miss about school. I don't really take vacations now. I am a true workaholic most of the time.
And thanks on the icon! I love it too. It's nami86's work.
I love you new fic, very strong start. Heart-wrenching, but I kinda figured it would be;) BTW, love the icon!
And thanks! I'm so glad you liked the new fic. :)
Just dropping in to tell you that I'm loving RBTL, and that the first chapter of your WIP was intriguing and I'm looking forward to the next one on Thursday :) My heart is absolutely aching for Jasper, and knowing that it was coming and there was nothing Alice could do about it was absolutely horrific in an amazing way.
I have an unexplainable avoidance of reviewing/replying to reviews on ffnet, so I thought I'd let you know that I think it's great here!
Keep up the great work :)
I understand about ffn. I have contemplated posting the updates on LJ but the fact is, I update so frequently, I would think it would be a bit much for people's friend pages or comms or whatever. But I hate the reply system on ffn. No perfect solution.
Anyway, thanks so much! I really appreciate the feedback.
Also, you haven't updated your Fanfic list! 'Some rise by sin' is not listed!
And I haven't updated the list because I'm lazy. And I forgot. ;)
No problem, i figured you forgot. So I was reminding you. :D
I've had your ffn writing bookmarked since about forever, but apparently, I'm not even good at procrastinating properly, because I only started on Redefining Words all of two hours ago. but no matter, this little trout is completely hooked now! you must really be a natural at this - your descriptions are spot-on, and every single one of your Cullens in Six Interruptions is perfectly in character. I especially loved your take on Bella, as well as the little insights of everyone else you managed to slip in. and as for Reading Between the Lines... . for once in my life, I am thoroughly speechless. I loved them all so, so much! but I'm guessing saying that wouldn't be much help to you, so if I really had to pick only a few, they'd be 1 They'll Never Know, 10 At Last, 13 The Luckiest, and 31 This Year's Love.
also, I hope you won't mind if I friend your LJ for updates, would you? (you don't have to friend me back because there's nothing much on my journal; I originally created it for the purpose of joining a fandom community, then... awesome A/J beckoned, and I couldn't say no. =DDD)
anyway, once again, THANK YOU for writing such wonderful fic!
I'm so happy to hear that you like my stories. I'm surprised that you like my Bella...haha. She's the hardest character for me to write.
It's nice to hear your faves in Reading Between the Lines. Your favorites and my favorites are pretty much in line. Is it weird that I have favorite chapters of my own work?
Anyway, I really appreciate the feedback and I love your icon. Of course I don't mind if you friend me.
Hope to hear more from you!
